Return to your rest my soul

 

Return to your rest my soul,

For the Lord has been good to you,

He led you to lie in green pastures,

By waters deep and still.

He has carried you in His arms,

And guided you safely through,

He has buried your life in His,

And has made everything new.

Do not be anxious for anything,

For His yoke is easy and light,

Take everything to Him in prayer,

He is your joy and delight.

You are blessed with every blessing,

Forgiven by His boundless grace,

A precious purchased possession,

His child, that non can replace.

Beloved, in the eyes of the Father,

Treasured beyond compare,

His immeasurable love and kindness,

Surround you everywhere.

Rooted and grounded in love,

Blessed with His peace, and forgiven,

Boldly approach your Fathers throne,

With prayers that are even bigger.

Remember, whose you are,

Cherished child of the King,

Forgive and be tenderhearted,

Rejoicing in everything.

Be forever confident of this,

That He who began a good work,

Will continue preparing His bride,

And return for His glorious church.
