My calling

 

Lord, when I asked, what you wanted of me,

You gave me an answer, as clear as can be.

To keep on loving, when others had run out of love,

To keep on forgiving and never give up.

 I believe you wanted me to go the extra mile,

To reach out in love, and greet all with a smile.

To serve others, to listen, to help, and to feel,

Showing love for others, a compassion that is real.

You've shown me that Your love, has no limits,

That mercy and forgiveness, are never finished

The whole world is hurting, so lost and broken,

Help me to demonstrate Your love in action.

Lord, You displayed Your heart for forgiveness,

Even whilst dying, you showed loving kindness.

A grace that removes and remembers no more,

All the mistakes,  that have happened before.

You have thrown my sin, into the depths of the sea,

As far as East is from West, from all, I am free.

With arms outstretched, as You bled upon that tree.

You  embodied God's love, for the whole world to see.

As high as the heavens are above the earth,

That is the immensity, of Your great love

The cross where love and forgiveness meet,

In remembrance, I weep, at those precious feet.

I pray Lord, I never miss an opportunity,

To be the vessel of love, you created me to be.

A life filled with gracious and abundant giving,

The love that my Father, is endlessly refilling.
