A love affair reignited

 Oranges and cobbled streets,

The heat hits,

But, yet another heat,

Warms me to the quick.

My being enlivened,

Quickened, excited,

Impassioned voices raised,

Singing and stirring deep remembering.

Senses heightened,

A love affair reignited,

Oh Spain, 

Where have I been?

I am bursting,

Filled, flame ignited,

Tears come uninvited,

Stirred by beauty and belonging.

Longing, aching to return,

Leaving, like a lovers swoon,

Part of me forever there,

Sevilla, I pray my return is soon.
