Sometimes the answer is no

 

As long as You love me Lord,

I can cope with unanswered prayer,

If I pray in Your will, and the answer is no,

Just stay with me, so I know You are there.

I know it is not always about me Lord,

Of the big picture, I am not aware,

But may Your loving kindness rest on me,

My Father, I am safe in Your care.

Hold me tight when fear overwhelms me,

When terror grips hold of my heart,

And uncertainty blankets the future,

Never let, Your Holy Spirit depart.

Oh Father, I fall on Your mercy,

In humility I submit to Your will,

Quadruple my faith and my love for You,

Let Your tenderness rest on me still.

My Lord, my heart is so fearful,

So heavy, and over burdened with care,

Cover me Father with Your feathers,

Under Your wings finding safety there.

Make my heart stronger and steadfast,

Let my soul return to its rest,

Trusting and praising You forever,

For You always know what is best.

My rock I will cling to You forever,

My stronghold, hold my anchor secure,

For only one thing in life is certain,

You will be with me forevermore.

I will call to mind Your faithfulness,

In times of insecurity and doubt,

Holding fast to this treasure in my heart,

It is only You, that I cannot live without.
