My Jesus, I will ask You such questions

Does love have a melody?

Does forgiveness have a song?

Do they bring joy to their maker?

To whom such blessings belong.

Can God hear my heart in heaven?

Each thought and unuttered prayer?

Does the Holy Spirit breathe life?

Into each inspirational idea.

How will it be to stand in Your presence?

Will I feel crushed or incredibly whole?

Will I be completely at peace?

Returning to the home of my soul.

What will forever feel like?

Will  it pass in the blink of an eye?

Or will eternity in His presence?

Seem like only a moment went by.

Will I suddenly understand everything?

Will every question be answered at once?

Or will it take an eternity?

Each revelation coming one by one.

How will it be to see Jesus?

I wonder what I will do?

Will tears of joy fall forever?

Because He is too good to be true.

Who are the cloud of witnesses?

Are angels lovingly cheering me on?

Do they delight in my triumphs?

And root for me when I go wrong.

Will I see my loved ones together?

Will every hearts secret be known?

Will I understand all in an instant?

The details of each trial lived below.

I wonder about our new bodies?

Will we be glistening and shining like the sun?

Radiating light all around us,

With glowing faces, eternally young.

Right now I see through a glass dimly,

One day I will see face to face,

What a beautiful meeting awaits me,

On the day that I finish this race.

My Jesus, I will ask You such questions,

Like a child, sitting at Your feet.

I so long to hear Your answers,

I can barely wait til we meet.
