Anthems

When I wake up with an anthem,

It seems to me a special gift.

My heart is so  filled with joy,

It gives the whole day a lift!

It reminds my soul to worship,

To give the day to You.

Holy Spirit deep within me,

Sweet fellowship so true.

Once again, Oh faithful One,

Have lately been my anthem songs.

Within me, songs both old and new,

Stay in my heart, all the day through.

Touched by Your Spirit,

Singing today' s song.

Calls You to my mind,

As the day goes along 

Like a special kind of abiding,

I know that you are near.

When my inner being worships,

I feel Your presence here.

Sometimes it's a chorus,

Or a long forgotten song.

The gift of the words reminds me,

To whom I belong.

I  love Your presents Father,

Sweet blessings that You give,

I know, that to daily worship You,

Is the reason that I live.
