Ruach Hakodesh

 

As often as I think, let the thought become a prayer.

Sweet Ruach Hakodesh, let me know that You are near.

You stir me, and You still me, all at the same time.

The word of God, becomes alive, as I read each line.

I remember, the day You came to me, I didn't have to try.

Overwhelmed by Your power, I couldn't help but cry.

I began to read the bible, and a flame was lit inside.

You sparked something, inside of me, and the words became alive.

Truer, than the truest truth, the words began to be.

It hit me like a tidal wave, that God indeed loved me.

It almost broke my heart in two, to know I'd hurt Him so.

Forgetting Him, Ignoring Him and going with the flow.

You tenderly revealed to me, the Father's heart above.

My God, so Great and Glorious, His pain and His Love.

He has saved me, and loved me, since before the World began.

The day, I finally realised, I believe the angels sang.

And all at once I knew, that God had been with me all along.

So many times, He saved my life, and helped me to stay strong.

I just want to tell the World, I want everyone to know.

That, their Precious Heavenly Father loves them so.

I want to tell the World, and sing it loud and clear.

Yet, You just say, You love me, whenever You come near.

There are, a billion things, I think I should be doing.

But, it seems that in my quiet times, I do most of my growing.

You placed such precious treasure, in this broken jar.

I pray, I spread the love of Jesus, near and far.

The fragrance of His Spirit so sweet and so pure.

Oh, Holy Spirit rain on me, more and more.

Embolden me, Empower me, draw me deeper into You.

Show me Living Waters and roots deep and true.

Pray with me, Pray for me, Lift my prayers before the throne.

Be with me always, until you guide me safely home.
