The truth about Reiki
" The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
Surely I have a delightful inheritance! "

This is one of my favourite bible verses.
After years of rebellion, and strife, boundary lines are wonderful.
I know, that they are there, for my safety and protection.
They give me such a sense of peace, like a banner of peace over me!
" You have set up a banner, for those who fear you,
that they may flee to it from the bow. "
Psalm 60 v 4
For many years, I looked for this peace, that is now so precious to me, in New Age Spirituality.
Reiki healing was everywhere!
It seemed everyone was doing reiki!
I wanted to be a lightworker, I wanted to help people, and to tap into this universal healing energy.
I could heal myself, body, mind and spirit and then heal others.
I told myself, I could bring Jesus into my reiki sessions.
As long as I visualized Jesus, when I was having a treatment, it would all be ok!
It couldn't be wrong could it?
After all Jesus was a healer!
Of course, this was my own imaginary Jesus!
A hippy, non judgemental Jesus, who went along with anything, as long as my intentions were good!
In New Age thinking, the only real sin, is not believing that you are " a spark of the divine, " that you are indeed, god!
The term " New Age" was first used in 1888, by a Russian occultist, called Madame Blavatsky.
Madame Blavatsky, had her own "Theosophical Society," and she wrote a book called " The Secret Doctrine. "
In this book, which she claimed was channelled by " New Age Ascended Masters, "Madame Blavatsky, talked about a New Age where humanity would be free from wars.
Her, so called, " Theosophical Society, " mixed occult practices, with UFO's, Hindu mysticism and buddhism.
New Age practices claim to be about love and light, and yet, they all have their roots in the occult.
The word occult means " kept secret, " or " hidden! "
Reiki, also claims the use of secret symbols, and secret knowledge to tap into universal healing energy.
The Christian writer, Terry Mattingly, says that,
" The New Age didn't crest in popularity and then disappear, it soaked into society. "
This is one of my reasons for writing!
The first is that, I want everyone, absolutely everyone to know the love of God.
The second is that, I don't want anyone to make the mistakes that I did!
I don't want anyone to be lost!
The third reason, is that as New Age teminology, permeates society, it is entering our churches through the back door!
Yoga is a Hindu practice.
Mindfulness, has its roots in Zen Buddhism.
The only meditation the bible recommends is meditating on scripture.
As Christians, we are not called to empty our minds, by focusing on our breath or a mantra.
We are to fill our minds with the truth of God's word!

One translated " Rei, " to mean God's wisdom or the higher power, and " ki," to mean, life force energy.
The other definition said that " Rei, " means ghost and " ki, " means vapour!
Similarly the same website describes "reiki" As a Japanese technique for stress reduction! "
Yet also states that,
" Reiki" can be defined as non physical healing energy, made up of life force energy that is guided by the Higher intelligence, or spiritually guided life force energy. "
Energy is transferred to the apprentice reiki healer, during an atunement.
The reiki master, uses secret symbols to channel this energy.
The atunement, opens up increased psychic sensitivity and can facilitate communication with reiki guides and spirit guides.
The reiki healing can involve the laying on of hands, the use of a pendulum or the healer may hover their hands, above certain chakras or energy points.
"Chakra" is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel or vortex.
It is believed that there are 7 major chakras and 20 minor ones.
Each chakra should vibrate in a circular motion, to keep the flow of energy, or "ki," of the human body in balance.
It is believed, that blocked chakras, in the bodies invisible energy field, can be the root of stress and illness.
The reiki healers hands, or a pendulum, can rebalance a person's blocked chakras.
The goal, of any chakra work is to open the third eye chakra, which is located in the centre of the forehead and to open the crown chakra.
Opening the third eye chakra is reported to increase psychic ability, and by opening the crown chakra, one becomes, truly enlightened!
The healers hands, can become very hot, and this suggests that the healing is particularly potent!

- Satan, can do signs and wonders. In Exodus 7 v 11, the wise men and sorcerers, the magicians of Egypt, were able to reproduce the acts of God by their own magic arts.
- As a form of relaxation, it could have a placebo effect, the atmosphere is usually relaxing with soft music playing and an escape from the everyday stresses and strains of life.
- I believe also that, the one to one attention is beneficial itself. I think it is so sad that people have to pay £40 for a phony treatment, to feel valued for an hour!
1 John 4 tells us,
" Beloved, do not believe every spirit,
But test the spirits to see whether they are
from God, for many false prophets
have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God,
Every Spirit that confesses that
Jesus Christ has come in the flesh
is from God, and every spirit that does
not confess Jesus, is not from God.
This is the Spirit of the antichrist,
which you heard was coming
and now is in the world already. "
Jesus said,
I am the way, the truth and the life,
No one comes to the Father, but through me.
John 14 v 6
So if this universal energy does not come from God, we know it is demonic energy and the Higher intelligence behind it all is Satan!
" Satan, who is the God of this world, has blinded
the minds of those who do not believe!
They are unable to see the glorious light
of the good news.
They do not understand this message
about the the glory of Christ, who is
the exact likeness of God. "

New Age Spirituality attempts to offer a path to love and light, but the bible tells us,
God is Light ( 1 John 1 v 5)
Jesus said
" I am the light of the world.
whoever follows me will never
walk in darkness, but will have
The Light of life!
John 8 v 12
As God's children we are the light of the world. (Matthew 5 v 14-16)
God is love. ( 1 John 4 v 16)
As children of God we are to walk in love.
As children of God we are to walk in love.
Satan imitates those gifts that are available to us as children of God!
The International Centre for Reiki Training even offers " Holy Fire Reiki! "
" This powerful and gentle energy, provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance.

The website states " Holy Fire energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness! "
When the advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father
The spirit of truth, who goes out from the Father,
He will testify about me. ( Jesus)
John 15 v 26
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit,
Whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Acts 5 v 32
The Holy Spirit is a precious gift, sent by the Father, to believers everywhere.
Not a commodity, that can be tapped into by anyone!
The Holy Spirit acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord!
The endless quest, for secret knowledge began, with the first rebellion in the Garden of Eden, which didn't end well!
Genesis 2 v 17, " You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it You will certainly die! "
Sorcery by definition is an attempt to manipulate a supernatural force, using the power of your own will!
Witchcraft is an attempt to control people and make them do what you want, by means of any spirit, other than the Holy Spirit.
The bible says that:
Satan masquerades as an angel of light
2 Corinthians 11 v 14
Satan is the ruler of this world
John 12 v 31
Is the Prince of the Power of the Air
Ephesians 2 v 2
The whole world is under the power of the evil one.
1 John 5 v 19
Satan offered Jesus, all of the Kingdoms of the World,
And their glory!
Matthew 4 v 8
Reiki is a dangerous deception!
It is not compatible with Christianity and it definitely isn't Christian.
Tapping into any power, or communicating with any spirit which is not of God, is communicating with evil spirits, whose purpose is your destruction and downfall.

I urge you, if you are lost come home, Jesus is calling.

He healed then and He is healing still!
Come to Him and find rest,
healing and precious peace!
